Ankha is a snooty cat in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Creature Crossing as an islander, and later being absent in Creature Crossing: Wild World, she appears in all subsequent games equally a villager. Her name is likely derived from the ankh, which is the Egyptian hieroglyphic graphic symbol that reads life. Her Japanese catchphrase, kufufu, is a combination of the Pharaoh Khufu, and ufufu, a Japanese onomatopoeia for laughter. Egyptians worshiped cats and had a true cat god, which may exist the ground for Ankha'south pattern.

In New Horizons, Ankha has the nature hobby and may exist institute reading a book pertaining to an item she is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.

Appearance [edit]

Ankha is a navy blueish-and-gold-striped cat, with navy blue eyeliner in the style of Egyptian royalty (black around the optics, and so wings out towards the exterior of the center). She also has orange eyeshadow which tin be seen when she blinks. Her big black pupils look upwards, and her mouth is constantly curved into a scowl, even when she is happy. Her headgear was worn by Queen Cleopatra, the Hellenistic ruler of Egypt. She has a slightly different way in City Folk, where she lacks the normal pharaoh headdress, which was replaced with a caput pendant, simply it was changed back to a headdress in New Leaf.

Ankha has a snooty personality, which means she volition appear arrogant and snobbish towards the actor and other villagers, but volition appear friendly and nice in some discussions, provided they are mature and practice not insult her lifestyle. She finds appearance of import, and will get angry or upset if someone criticizes her sense of style or fitness, which means a chat between her and a jock personality may leave either i upset or angry. Her attitude towards the thespian changes, as she begins to warm up to them, but she volition still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. She may not get along with lazy villagers, due to their lifestyles - lazy villagers having a strong interest in food or relaxing, both of which will brand her uncomfortable, angry, and upset when in chat. She will upset peppy villagers, usually past gossiping about them, and finding small things to guess them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky, and other snooty villagers.

As an islander in Fauna Crossing, Ankha has a favorite fruit and one she is allergic to. She is allergic to Apples and loves Cherries, meaning giving her the sometime reduces the likelihood of her dropping Bells, and giving her the latter increases the likelihood of her dropping Bells.

In City Folk [edit]

In Fauna Crossing: City Folk, Ankha cannot be i of the starting villagers in the player's town.

In each game in the series, Ankha's house is themed after a pyramid, befitting her Egyptian-styled appearance.

She will request specific items for the role player to give to her, which she will place in her house.
